Author given as 'J.G.', presumed to be Fr John Gerard SJ who was in Guyana in 1900 on visitation. There is a note to the front of the second manuscript volume by Fr C[harles] Byrne SJ, December 1967, making brief analysis of the two manuscripts and the printed publication.
