The outgoing correspondence of Fr Robert Whitty SJ to Fr Joseph Woollett SJ, and one letter to Fr George Sidgreaves SJ. Full listing of Woollett letters:
• August 16. Letter of instructions from Rome as to Belize had not arrived, but letter from Honduras had. Honduras mission at a standstill, as Fr Di Pietro will not assume Superiorship without instructions from Fr General. Suggests that Fr Woollett go to Honduras
• Undated. Requesting repairs to the College, and informing of a house being sold and the proceeds being given to the Jamaica Mission
• 15 April. Letter about Fr Corry and Fr G Porter being seriously ill, travelling expenses to and from Jamaica, requesting more missions to Honduras, and fears that the mission is inefficiently manned
• Undated. About sending men to Kingston: a preacher, Father, young scholastics. Questions how much money will be given to the College in Kingston
• 1 July 1873. About the existence or non-existence of a College in Kingston, asks for a week to give an opinion as to whether to reopen it
• 16 January 1873. About the death of Fr [Peuch?], requesting two or three men for Honduras, and a new Father being sent to Jamaica
• 1 June 1873. About 90 signing address in favour of a College, but urging caution in making a decision, and that Fathers prefer mission work and not to send scholastics as masters
• 1 February 1872. About College question, questions whether they have the power to make over the property for the Jamaica Mission, discusses rents and capital, states the desire to treat Jamaica as a part of the Province in terms of both men and money
• 31 January 1873. Letter about forwarding request to Rome as to the Faculties
• 2 March 1873. About money for the Honduras mission and restoring the College in Jamaica
• 16 March 1873. About Fr Corry nearly dying and Fr General’s decision as to his awaiting his Paternity from Rome
• 16 May 1873. About 90 men in Kingston signing the address for a Jesuit College, advising that the Mission and College not be looked at as the same concern, discussing money, and the Honduras and Jamaica missions.
• 16 February 1872. About College property, and providing English substitutes for leaving English Jesuits
• Undated Latin document.
