This file contains:
- A typescript obituary of Fr Francis Vavasour SJ written by Fr Paul Crane SJ and sent to Fr John Duggan SJ (that was never officially published, but was to be kept in the archives for future reference). Attached to the obituary are two letters addressed to Fr John Tranmar SJ, dated 1972 and 1980.
- Correspondence between Fr Duggan and Fr Crane regarding the aforementioned obituary.
- Letter from Fr Bernard Hall SJ to Fr Duggan regarding Fr Vavasour.
- Two loose sheets of typescript from Fr Crane's obituary on Fr Vavasour. One sheet is signed by the Crane and the other is un-signed with annotations in red pen. The latter sheet also informs the reader to check Fr Crane's letter from 24 February 1982 (included in the folder).
- A document on Fr William Maher SJ's visit to Calvery Hospital, Wellington, N.Z (1981) to see Fr Vavasour. The letter details Fr Vavasour's illness.
