Admin_History | Charles Macadam was born on 16th July 1903 to a British family in Argentina.
He studied theology for four years at Fourviere and taught French and Spanish as a scholastic and priest at Stonyhurst and for two years later at Beaumont. In 1945, Macadam returned to Stonyhurst, after a delayed tertianship, and spent the remaining 40 years of his life there. His official position at Stonyhurst was the Rector’s secretary and registrar of entries and while there he was elected President of the Stonyhurst Association.
He died on 8th December 1984. |
