| Description | Manuscript vow formula signed by James Chesnell, 8 September 1877, Manresa House, Roehampton, which was housed in a small coffin-shaped wooden box. |
| Physical Description | The vow formula had been tightly rolled to fit in the container and there is some evidence of insect and water or mould damage. Care should be taken when handling the box as the lid has sharp nails sticking out of it. For preservation purposes the vow formula has been removed from the container and housed, flat, in an acid-free folder. |
