DescriptionA series of hard bound volumes recording the weekly performance of sets of students as they progress through the Seminary education.

A note inside the front cover of the first volume (SJW/SCD/3/2) explains more about this series.

"Register I. Class commenced in September 1889. The present system of notes was begun in May 1890, when the one original Class was divided, ten being place in the Vth, five in the VIth class. The following formed the Vth class: Brotherton, Christall, Coote, Burt, Toomey, Kent, Kelly, Tonks, Fitzgerald, Foley: their notes are in this volume.

The following joined the VIth class: Passmore, Glossop, Morgan, Flanagan, Murray. Their notes are in Register II.

N.B. E = Egregie [outstanding]; O = Optime [very good]; F.O. = Fere Optime [quite good]; B = Bene [good]; S = Satis [satisfactory]; M = Mediocrater [mediocre]; Ma = Male ; P = Pessime

Results are recorded using the following Latin grades: Egregie – Outstanding, Optime – Very good, Fere optime – Quite good, Bene - Good, Satis - Satistactory, Mediocrater - Mediocre.

Nov. 12th 1891 the III class recieved the name of Syntax"
