1. To understand the mission of the Church to communicate the Gospel by all possible means in the world of today.
2. to be inspired to aim at a high degree of excellence as a personal communicator of the Word and to acquire skills necessary to communicate effectively.
3. to study and understand something of the ways in which society is influenced by the means of social communication.
The documents comprise a project plan for the establishment of the Communications Studio, 1972; summary of the facilities and training offered by WTV; correspondence relating to John Stapleton's involvement with the course; articles by Stapleton, 'Why Communications?' and 'Communications, not so much a programme....'.
