Description
Three sections labelled as follows: June 1920, July 1920, December [1919]. The diary describes the routines of the seminary as well as special events.
The December [1919] section describes the first Old Boys dinner following World War I; visit by the Mother Provincial of the nuns to discuss additions to the convent; visit from Fr John Fichter (still not demobbed and at a camp in Witley); football matches between seniors and juniors; a debate on whether a limited monarchy is preferable to a republic; playing golf at Bramley; Ramsay, 'our last student in the army' has been demobbed; appeal for funds for the gymnasium; gathering at which Fr. Walters was thanked for producing the Wonersh Mail during the war (he was presented with an armchair); exam season; choir practice.
The June 1920 section includes a description of the consecration of the Rector, Arthur Doubleday as Bishop of Brentford.
