| Description | This photograph shows an elderly Mgr Butti standing on library steps in a library stacked high with books, holding on to the top shelf of the bookcase with his left hand; Mgr Butti was born in Edinburgh on 21st February 1847; he was ordained priest on 12th April 1873 and died at Blairs College on 25th November 1932, aged 85; further details of Mgr Butti's life can be found on pp 346 to 348 of The Catholic Directory for 1933 |
