Admin_History | The money of the Hamilton Foundation was leant out to Dr Mijancas in 1660, with his houses as security. He died without repaying the loan, and his houses passed to his housekeeper, Dona Maria Manuela Abarca. The College charged her with the original debt. It was apparently repaid in 1761, after great trouble. Hamilton, a Scots priest, was buried in the College Chapel in 1655. |
