| Description | Rev James L Cottle of the Student Christian Movement of Great Britain and Ireland wrote to Professor ACF Beales proposing that a series of informal discussion meetings be arranged between students in Anglican and Free Church theological colleges and students in Catholic seminaries. Professor Beales contacted Fr Henry Davis, SJ at Heythrop College about this proposal, and, after receiving consent from the Provincial of the Jesuits and the Archbishop of Birningham, Fr Davis asked Fr Maurice Bévenot at Heythrop College to arrange these meetings in conjunction with Rev J L Cottle. Most of the files in this particular group appear to have been created and then passed over to Professor ACF Beales by Fr Maurice Bévenot. |
