Description
Complaints from members of the public regarding advertisements in the press and media judged to be blasphemous or offensive to Catholic sensibilities, including correspondence with the London Passenger Transport Board [now Transport for London], The Universe and the Daily Mail. The advertisements include a news paper advert for the 1934 film "Hollywood Party", starring Jimmy Durante, which was felt to be blasphemous, and one for Snowfire Vanishing Cream, which was deemed to be too provocative.
