Description
Letter to Manning, as Provost of Westminster, informing him of some “very interesting letters” of Cardinal Wiseman in the possession of Dr Jendy. Ullathorne also tells Manning that the Pope has rebuked the bishops regarding the terma that they sent and mentioning that Bishops Grant and Clifford have both declined translation to Westminster. It would appear that the Westminster Chapter has nominated someone and the Bishops have made no comment on the matter. This letter has been written on paper previously used to begin a letter to a convent.
