The caption beneath the photograph reads 'The Fourth Archbishop of Westminster 1861-1935' The inner page features a black and white photograph of the altar of the chapel built by Bourne at St. Edmund's College, Ware, Hertford, in memory of the college members who died during the Great War. The caption beneath the image reads 'At the foot of this altar lies Cardinal Bourne'. While Bourne's body was interred at St Edmund's College, his heart was deposited in the chapel of St. John's Seminary, Wonersh, in June 1935. The back page of the card features a prayer for the repose of Bourne's soul.
