Cathedral History: A Photographic Record
'Ash Wednesdday-1956' An short article about the tradition of Ash Wednesday and an accompanying photograph which depicts Cardinal Bernard Griffin receiving the ashes from Mgr Gordon Wheeler, the Cathedral Administrator. The image was taken on 15 February 1956, six months before Griffin's death.
