'Pope John Paul II arrives at Westminster' by Paul Tobin. An article about the first pastoral visit ever made by a reigning pope and took place during the UK conflict with Argentina in the Falkland Islands. Following his UK trip, the Pope also paid a visit to Argentina in order to demonstrate impartiality.

'The Holy Face in the Veil of Veronica' by Dr Stuart Blackie. An article about a picture derived from an engraving by artist Claude Mellan (1598-1688) which was inspired by the face of Christ imprinted on the Veil of Veronica. Veronica was a woman who was so moved by the suffering of Christ carrying his cross to Calvary that she wiped the sweat and blood from his face, leaving an imprint of his face on the garment.
