The author talks about the life of Thomas Becket and the long awaited St Thomas Becket exhibition which was due to be held at the British Museum back in 2020, but was postponed until 2021 due to the Covid pandemic. The exhibition is entitled 'Thomas Becket: Murder and the Making of a Saint.
'The Field of the Cloth of Gold' An article about a cope which once belonged to Henry VII and was created from gold cloth and red silk damask. The cope currently belongs to the British Jesuit Province and is the only existing part of a set of 29 velvet copes which has survived. The set of garments was commissioned by King Henry VII for Westminster Abbey during the late 15th century. The cloth of gold cope is part of an exhibition, Gold and Glory : Henry VIII and the French King, which runs at Hampton Court Palace from 20th May until 5th September 2021.
'BI Carlo back in London ' An article about the relic of BI Carlo Acutis an Italian Catholic who died of leukaemia in 2006 at the age of 16. His relics were presented to Fr Patrick Ryall of the Servite Church, Fulham Road and Fr Alan Robinson of the Blessed Sacrament Shrine at Corpus Christi, Maiden Lane.
