Description	The file contains what appear to be two hand written schedules 'A' and 'C'. Schedule A reads "General Letters from and to Card Manning and various other Gentlemen no A.1 to A.292 inclusive", while schedule C reads "Miscellaneous letters, part letters and other Documents and Memos from and to Card Manning and other presons no. C.1 to C.102". These are possibly a guide to the contents of the file. The contents include letters; decrees; statutes; an instruction for the letters to be written by newly promoted cardinals; guidance for new cardinals on how to format letters in accordance with country of the recipient; an empty wax sealed envelope addressed to Henrico Eduardo Manning...Via del Tritone no.28..documents and notes etc. These documents are all undated, but may have been associated with Manning's promotion to Cardinal. The material is largely written in Latin and Italian while some documents are written in French and Greek.
