The contents of the file include a pamphlet produced by Archbishop Manning, entitled 'How Shall Catholics Vote at the Coming Parliamentary Election?', [?]1885; a pamphlet entitled 'Letter of Our Holy Father by Divine Providence Pope Leo XIII on the Closing Year of His Sacerdotal Jubilee'; pamphlet entitled 'On The Roman Pilgrimage, Peter-Pence, and The Annual Te Deum' by the Archbishop of Westminster, 1892; pamphlet entitled 'A Pastoral Letter on The Queen's Jubilee' by Herbert Cardinal Vaughan, 1897; leaflet entitled 'Proposed Government Tax on the Annual Income of Religious Communities'; a decree of Westminster in relation to English Martyrs, Cardinal John Fisher and Thomas More and his associates. The decree is printed in Latin and is entitled 'Decretum Westmonasterien Confirmationis Cultus Beatorum Matyrum Joannis Cardinalis Fisher, Thomae More et sociorum..' which translates as 'A decree of Westminster for the confirmation of the worship of the blessed martyrs John Cardinal Fisher, Thomas More and his allies...'; 'Pastoral letter on the Persecution of the Church in China' by Herbert Cardinal Vaughan; various posters and notices in relation to the celebration of Lent, 1899,1901; a pamphlet entitled 'A Letter on The Catholic Church in England and The Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster, 1901; newspaper cutting taken from The Standard entitled 'Marriage with Foreigners' in relation to an Order issued by the Bishop of London with regard to the marriage of foreigners in his diocese, 1901; a letter from Cardinal Herbert Vaughan entitled 'The Catholic Children's Crusade of Rescue', 1902; letter from Cardinal Vaughan which includes a request for a collection of funds in relation to the 1902 disaster in Martinique, possibly the volcanic eruption of Mount Pelée, 1902; various letters to the clergy; letter written by Archbishop Francis Bourne, addressed to the parish priest, requesting that a church collection be organised in relation to the earthquake in Calabria, Southern Italy, 1905; letter from William Anthony Johnson, Bishop of Arindela, thanking the bishops and other clergy for their congratulatory letters and telegrams, etc, in relation to his elevation to the Episcopate, 1906; details of those who should be summoned to the Westminster Diocesan Synod of 1906; letter from Archbishop Francis Bourne in relation the needs of the elementary schools of the Diocese, 1907.
