DescriptionA Foundation Mass is one which is said once a year for 25 years for benefactors of the church. The term 'foundation' relates to the concept of investing a capital sum, the returns from which would pay for the stipend each year. Included in the book is a photocopy of a letter written by parish priest, the Very Revd Arthur B Swift to Cardinal Heenan in relation to the Ullathorne Foundation and the funds that it yields.
