DescriptionCorrespondence with Fr Alexander Miller from solicitors Gibson, Usher & Co relating to the purchase of property in Notting Hill for the construction of schools. The letters refer to death duties payable following the deaths of Fr Dillon and Fr Butler, who originally bought the land, and the value of the properties. There is also a list of the proprietors of the Pottery Lane property (Fr A V Miller, Fr W F Keogh, Fr H R Blake, Fr J Butler) and the Treadgold Street property (Fr W F Keogh, Fr F O'D Hoare and Fr J Swaby). There is continued correspondence relating to the purchase of part of the Treadgold Street property from the Whitchurch Estate and a letter outlining the arrangement to convey the freehold portion of the Pottery Lane property from the original owner, Rev Henry Augustus Rawes, to Revs Thomas Dillon, Robert Butler and Walter Richards, subject to annuities paid to (now deceased) members of the Rawes family. Other correspondents include Osmond Bentley, and there is some discussion about the construction of a covered playground and latrines.
