DescriptionCorrespondence and accounts relating to the purchase and construction of the St Francis Church Schools in Treadgold Street, Notting Hill. These includes articles of agreement between Revs Alexander V Miller and Francis M Wyndham, St Mary of the Angels, Bayswater, and contractor John McManus regarding the construction of schools, a caretaker's house, latrines, boundary walls, a playground and a covered playground at Treadgold Street, Notting Hill, according to the architectural designs of Osmond Bentley.
The file containes correspondence from Osmund Bentley relating to payments made, and a collection of cheques encashed by Bentley, John McManus and Clerk of Works, A G Anderton.

There is also a collection of accounts and receipts for the Clerk of Works [Project Manager] A G Anderton, and for builder John McManus, as well as correspondence from McManus and Bentley over the delay to the completion of the school buildings, due to widespread labour unrest, particularly within the transport and construction industries. The file contains 4 original signed copies of London Building Act Awards relating to the boundary walls of St Francis School, Treadgold Street.
