DescriptionThe correspondence relates mainly to the construction of the new parish buildings and the subsequent discovery of defects in the wooden flooring in the parish hall and in the installation of the air extractors. The wood flooring continued to be an ongoing problem, resulting in a major dispute between the parish, architect Clive Broad and contractors Truett and Steel Ltd. The file also includes correspondence relating to the tenancy of 339A, Harrow Road and compensation paid for surrendering the lease by the tenant, tobacconists Morgans.

The file includes a copy of permission given to Fr George Perkes, parish priest, to erect Stations of the Cross in the church (1963) and a small amount of correspondence relating to the raising of funds for the Dominica Disaster Relief Fund following Hurricane David (1979).
