Description'Church of Our Lady of Lourdes & St Vincent de Paul, Harrow Road, London, W9. Solemn Consecration, Friday, 10th September, 1976 at 7.30pm, by His Eminence Cardinal George Basil Hume OSB, Ninth Archbishop of Westminster, in the presence of The Right Worshipful the Lord Mayor Westminster'.
The publication includes an essay on 'Why a Church is Consecrated' by Rev J Houlihan; The Story of the Rebuilding [of the Church] by Fr G A Strain; and the Architect's Report by Clive Broad. There are also photographs of the interior and exterior of the new church; a portrait of Cardinal Hume; Cardinal Heenan and Fr G A Strain at the Foundation Stone Ceremony; a before and after view of the site of the old and new church taken from above; an architect's drawing of the new church plan. There is an acknowledgement to the architect, building contractors and interior furnishings designers at the end of the booklet, listing them all.
