Issue No 3, October 1969, pp 165-175. The article is based on the letters of some of the Jesuit chaplains at Plowden Hall, which are now held together in the Historical series. According to William Price, the letters (original reference AAW/155) were found by Miss Elisabeth Poyser, Archivist to the Archbishop of Westminster from from 1965 - 1989, in a trunk of papers labelled 'Cardinal Vaughan, c. 1900', wrapped in old newspapers. |
