Description	This file contains material relating to John Fisher and Thomas More and their Cause for Canonisation. The Thomas More folder contains a copy of a letter from Patrick Barry to Fr Rector at St Paul's Seminary in Kensington, New South Wales, about a relic of St Thomas More, which wasn't sent; a copy of part of a letter from Fr Paul Molinari SJ about whether the canonisation of More and Fisher was formal or equivalent; news cuttings; a reprint of Fr John Pollen SJ's article 'Cardinal Pole on Bl Thomas More's Hesitation' from The Month; correspondence between Barry to Molinari regarding a relic; a note about a framed miniature of More after Holbein; a pamphlet by Mgr Anthony Stark entitled 'Thomas More: Most Human of Saints'; a collection of contemporary documents compiled for Jackdaw Publications, which was left anonymously in the Vice-Postulators' Office; a photostat of More's Indictment in 'English Historical Documents V' edited by C H Williams; and a general guide to the Church of St Dunstan, Canterbury. John Fisher's folder contains pamphlets published by the Catholic Truth Society; references to sources on Fisher; notes on a volume sold at Sotherby's in 1969 containing contemporary opinions on Henry VIII's divorce from Cathering of Aragon; a transcript from an 'Anonymous Latin Life of Fisher'; correspondence between Barry and Shirley du Boulay, Producer of Religious Programmes at the BBC; notes on More's burial; a memo regarding the burial place of More and Fisher; a copy of the address given by Mgr Anthony Reynolds at the unveiling of the plaque at All Hallows Church, Borough; and correspondence. Further documents include a photocopy of the summaries of the lives of Thomas More and John Fisher from the Sacred Congregation of Rites, 1934, sent by Fr Paul Molinari SJ in December 1979; the Information of the Relator General, H Quenin OSB, 1934; an envelope containing several slips of paper with references to sources on Fisher and More, news cuttings, and a letter from Jenny Cathcart at the BBC regarding a Thomas More item to be shown in Timewatch on 22 December 1982.
