Description | The first file contains several typescript and manuscript transcripts of historical sources, images from Anglia volume I, photographs showing Topcliffe's writing, secret notes, Fr John Pollen's reading tickets from the British Museum Library (now in the British Library), and an index of letters.
The second file contains correspondence, transcripts, various typescript and manuscript notes, an essay entitled 'The Rosary Confraternity in Penal Times' by Raymund Devas OP, lists of publications, a photocopy of the final official statement of the Promoter of the Faith on Garnet, and a photocopy of a letter from Cardinal Domenico Bartolini to the Archbishop of Westminster 12 December 1886.
A third folder contains transcripts and document on the Dilati of 1886: Henry Garnet, John Cooper, Ailworth, [Helmer], [Rocho] Chaplin, Jacob Atkinson, Laurence Hill & Robert Green, and Robert Dymock. There is also a notebook entitled 'Documenta de Martyrio RP Henrici Garnet' with sections on the 'fama Martyrii', theological opinions, his words - sermons and letters, and 'de odio contra Fidem in persecutoribus'. |
