Correspondence with the Fr Provincial, including Fr William Maher SJ and Fr George 'Jock' Earle SJ. Later letters mostly concern Fr Vavasour's health and life in New Zealand. The file includes:
- a letter from the Fr Earle (as Provincial) to Fr Vavasour's brother regarding requiem masses and prayers following his brother's death
- correspondence between the Fr Maher (as Provincial) and Fr Vavasour's doctor regarding his health
- correspondence on the sale of shares from Missions' Awaroa. Fr Edward Ennis SJ is included in this correspondence
- correspondence on the financing of Heythrop College
- correspondence regarding the Vavasour Charitable Fund
- correspondence regarding sending Fr Vavasour to NZ to see his brother and collaborate in the development of property in which the English Province had an investment interest, letters from Fr O'Sullivan are included in this
- a letter from the Fr Maher (as Provincial) dated 9 August 1978 setting out Fr Vavasour's future.
