DescriptionBr Francis Mark Condon (always known as Mark to his family) was born 11 September 1914, Bootle, Merseyside. He went to the local parish school and left at 14. He attended weekend retreats at Loyola Hall. At 23 he joined the Novitiate at Manresa House, Roehampton and took his first vows as Temporal Coadjutor 31 July 1939. His life in the Society was spent as Refectorian. During the first 20 years he was mainly at St Beuno’s, with spells at Manresa, Stonyhurst and Rainhill. In 1958 he oved to St Wilfrid’s, Preston, still as refectorian. He remained there nearly 25 years. In 1982 he moved to Twyford Abbey Nursing Home. He died at Central Middlesex Hospital 13 March 1985 and was buried at St Wilfrid’s.
