DescriptionThe art gallery in Loyola University, Chicago, United States of America, was donated by Jane and Charles Engelhard as a monument to D'Arcy's achievements and to make available to students at Loyola visual forms of expression and opened in 1969. It was designed by Walter Farmer. The file contains black and white photographs, brochures, Gallery Board reports, clippings and photocopies of letters addressed to Fr Donald F Rowe SJ regarding the opening in 1969 from among others William S Abell, Antoinette Nee and Edward M Kennedy. One photograph shows the opening of the Gallery and includes D'Arcy, Donald F Rowe SJ, Fr J Maguire SJ and Mrs Hempstead Washburne.
