Description | A volume with letters pasted in. The letters concern Law, and are primarily from him to his father, but there are also letters from his father and to and from other family members and friends. The letters in this volume are written when Law was in the Navy, primarily on board HMS Excellent. They cover the period when he was considering leaving the navy and when he applied to Stonyhurst. The letters were collected by Law's father, William Towry Law, after Law's death in 1880 and there is a note on the front cover in William Towry Law's handwriting. |
