Description | A volume with letters pasted in. The letters concern Law and are primarily to and from Law and his father, William Towry Law, but are also from other family members and friends. Law was variously at British Guiana [Guyana], various places in Britain, Grahamstown in South Africa and on his mission north to Gubulawayo and then to Umzila's Kraal. It includes the last letter from Law, written 12 October 1880, and letters from Fr. Edward Purbrick SJ to William Towry Law after the death of Law. The letters were collected together by William Towry Law after Law's death, and there is a label pasted on the front cover in William Towry Law's handwriting. |
