Admin_History | Fr Reginald Carrington, known as Reggie, was born in South Africa in 1901. He arrived at Campion House, Osterley in 1922. After the novitiate at Roehampton and philosophy at Heythrop, he taught at St Michael's in Leeds for two years before theology, and was ordained in 1935. He then returned to Leeds 1937-1941, followed by Wimbledon 1941-1944, 15 years at Manchester where he was chaplain to the Manchester Royal Infirmary. Finally he went to Worcester where he was the Mayor's chaplain. He was a keen cricketer and golfer. He died 17 June 1978. |
