Born in Bocking, Braintree (Essex) 1 September 1846. Married Adolph Arendrup 1872. Settled in Wimbledon after the death of her husband in 1875. Opened Roman Catholic chapel in the parlour of her home, The Abbassieh, in Cottenham Park Road in 1877. Contributed towards the cost of buying the land and building the church of the Sacred Heart in Wimbledon. In later life Arendrup retired to a Fraciscan Convent in Braintree. She died there on 10 January 1934.
