Opened Roman Catholic chapel in the parlour of her home, The Abbassieh, in Cottenham Park Road in 1877. Contributed towards the cost of buying the land and building the church of the Sacred Heart in Wimbledon. In later life Arendrup retired to a Fraciscan Convent in Braintree. She died there on 10 January 1934.
