| Description | There was a review of seminary formation following Second Vatican Council. The Rector and staff at recognised that "the sucessful fulfilment of Concillar ideas will depend... on the formation of priests according to the spirit and directives of the Council.... "it seemed necessary to the staff at Wonersh that a thorough examination of the whole question of seminary training shoud be undertaken".
The documents arise from this investigation and include an account of what the Seminary was attempting to achieve; students' comments on the revision of seminary life; timetables from other seminaries for comparison; recommendations made by a Committee of Professors established by the Bishops of England and Wales to look at Seminary training, 24 June 1967; draft resolutions; questionnaire sent to priests relating to seminary training; report entitled "Reflections on Renewal at Wonersh". |
