Description
The first entry describes the day Charles Seed arrived at the seminary, 6th September 1912. Regular entries begin on 7th September 1915 and describe daily life at the seminary during World War I, until December 1916.
A note written by Seed in 1968 provides the following information: Charles Seed joined the Artists' Rifles in January 1917. He was wounded in France on 18th February 1918 and spent two years in hospital. He did not return to the seminary for health reasons. He joined H.M. Colonial Service in 1921 and retired in 1955.
