DescriptionFramed piece of caligraphy presented by the students to Fr Walters. The appreciation reads as follows:

"At a meeting of the Philosophers and Divines, held on Thursday, November 20th 1919. The following resolution was proposed by Mr Gilliard for the ex-military students, seconded by Mr Rigg for the rest, and carried unanimously:

That we, the students both military and non-military of the senior house, wish to utter in public, as directly and strongly as in us lies, our sincere appreciation of the untold labour spent by Father Walters on the Wonersh Mail, our great admirationof that journal for its own worth, and the warmest thanks for its great share under divine providence, in the work of holding together the absent brethren, keeping them in touch with alma mater and bring back so large a number to take up again their training for the army of Christ."

The piece bears the signatures of Francis Winthrop Woodruff, Secretary, and Desmond Francis Coffey, Dean.
