Description
Published by Longman's Green and Co. Ltd, 1927, Includes a foreword by Cardinal Bourne, Archbishop of Westminster.
Thomas Hooley was the 'Regent'; the member of staff in charge of the junior section of the seminary. In 1907 he was Bishop Bourne's favourite to success Mgr Joseph Butt as Rector, but Bishop Amigo didn't agree with this choice. This led to a permanent cooling of relations between Bourne and Amigo.
From 1909 until his death in 1953, Thomas Hooley was parish priest at St. Bede's, Clapham Park. He remained Cardinal Bourne's confessor and his friend.
