DescriptionIn the 1920s, a man named John Lyons claimed to be a former 'monk' of the Marist Brothers. He went on a series of tours in the United States of America, claiming that he had been subject to severe and torturous punishment during his time at Mount St. Michael in Dumfries. He also claimed that the 'monks' there drank heavily and took part in orgies.
