Description
St Mungo's Academy was founded in 1858 at the Brothers' house at 96 Garngad Hill in the Royston area of Glasgow. In 1861, the Brothers moved to premises above a girls' school in Stanhope Street and the Academy relocated to a property in St Mungo Street. This property was demolished in 1889. A house and ground was purchased at No. 32 Parson Street in the Townhead area (the number was raised to 48 in 1894) and the Brothers and Academy again relocated to this property in Easter 1883.
