Description
This postcard, entitled "Aberdeen: St Mary's Cathedral, The Lady Chapel", shows an altar with a statue of Our Lady and a small stained glass window behind the statue; according to notes on the back of the postcard, the statue is a replica of the original, revered in Aberdeen before the Reformation, now in the church of Notre Dame de Finisterre, in the Rue Neuve, in the centre of Brussels; as at 2009, the estimated Catholic population attending St Mary's Cathedral is 1,500.
