Description
This postcard, sent by someone called Lizzie to Father J K Robertson at St Mary's in Inverness and postmarked 6 July 1945, shows the interior of SS Mary and Finnan Church at Glenfinnan; a note on the back of the postcard states that this view is a real photograph; it has been taken from the rear of the church and shows a central aisle with pews on either side leading to the altar, above which is a circular stained-glass window; SS Mary and Finnan Church was built in 1870 and has an estimated Catholic population of 70, as at 2009.
