| Description | This head and shoulders photograph shows an unsmiling, elderly Archbishop William Brown; detailed typed notes on the back of the photograph state that Archbishop Brown was born in Dundee on 3rd May 1862; he was nominated titular bishop of Pella (and bishop auxiliary, Southwark) on 24th January 1924 and consecrated at Southwark on 12th March 1924; he published "Through Windows of Memory" in 1946 and died in London on 16th December 1951, aged 89. |
