Description	This is a formal studio head and shoulders portrait of Canon Albert Franklin and shows a bespectacled, half-smiling Canon Franklin; Canon Franklin, a convert to the Faith, was received into the Church at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Edinburgh, in 1905, after spending some 15 years as an Anglican clergyman. Soon afterwards, he began his studies for the priesthood in Rome, and was ordained in 1908; he died in Edinburgh on 11th February 1955, aged 86.
