DescriptionLetters primarily from Fr Richard Copeland SJ (Coordinator of Retreats) regarding the St Beuno's Project, a three month course on the Spiritual Exercises. It was aimed at renewing confidence in the Exercises for Jesuits. Also includes a sketch plan of the project setting out aims of the course and questionnaires to be sent to Jesuits internationally regarding the course (the course was intended to be given to any English speaking Jesuit), and documents by Fr Copeland on preparation of directors of the Exercises. Correspondents include Fr George J. Schemel SJ, Fr Thomas H. Clancy SJ, and Fr Alex LeFrank SJ.


Also includes Sketch Plan (1979), handwritten notes on the course, additional information sent from Germany on a similar seminar concerning the Exercises, preparation notes of directors of the Exercises, typescript notes on the evolution of the work of the Exercises and how St Beuno's would be a suitable centre for it, and several programmes from St Beuno's on the completed course 'A three-month course in Apostolic Spirituality'.
