Admin_HistoryFr John Costigan was born in Lancashire in 1916, and was educated at Stonyhurst, becoming Vice-Captain of the school. He went to the noviceship in 1934 and was ordained in 1949. In 1952 he joined the staff at Beaumont, becoming Rector in 1958. He was appointed as Rector and parish priest at St Aloysius's, Glasgow in 1964 and made the preparatory school his particular care. In 1970 he moved to Stamford Hill, and in 1971, to St Aloysius's, Oxford where he was much involved in the various parish groups.
