  <dc:description>Bundle of correspondence primarily relating to Davis' proposed memoir of Fr Cary-Elwes SJ. Includes letters from various correspondents, giving anecdotes of their meetings with Fr Cary-Elwes, his childhood, breakdown in Guyana and subsequent treatment, and of his final days and death. Correspondents include Cary-Elwes' sister and brother, Fr Andria SJ, and Fr Keary SJ. Also includes two letters, dated 1923 and 1926, from Fr C Galton SJ to Cary-Elwes' brother describing his health, and comments, by Fr Keary, on initial drafts of the memoir. Three letters from Cary-Elwes are also included, dated 1941 and 1945, along with two copy letters, dated 1947, from Fr Keary and Fr J L Morrison SJ to their respective Superiors which comment on Cary-Elwes' break-down in health.</dc:description>
