  <dc:title>Queen Mary Stuart's Triptych</dc:title>
  <dc:description>This file deals with the travelling altarpiece of Mary, Queen of Scots. It contains correspondence mostly 1954-1958 regarding disputed ownership of the triptych with the following correspondants: Fr Vavasour SJ, Fr Philip Caraman SJ, D'Arcy; Oswald, Goodier &amp; Co and A Cox. There is also a photocopy letter from the Victoria &amp; Albert Museum dated 1971 requesting loan of the altar and there are notes, some by D'Arcy, about the history of the item, a description of the Triptych &amp; German plate and description of triptych magazine extract as well as an exhibition guide for 'Enamels: the XII to the XVI Century' in the Martin D'Arcy Gallery which includes a description of the triptych. There is also a newspaper clipping from the 'Empire News' dated 1951. There are also a few black and white photographs of the triptych.</dc:description>
