Papal Bull of the canonisation of St Thomas More and St John Fisher The Bull is in Latin handwritten on vellum. It bears the seal and signature of Pope Pius XI. The first page has illuminated initials. In 1939 the Pope decided that the Bull should be entrusted to Peter Amigo, Archbishop of Southwark, who had been an advocate for the cause of More and Fisher. Archbishop Amigo in turn decided that the Bull should be kept at Wonersh in recognition of all that Mgr Phillip Hallett had done to further the cause for the canonisation of the two saints. 19 May 1935
