St John's School and House According to historical notes within the series, St. John's School was opened at Duncan Terrace, Islington, in 1881. The Brothers were employed to teach at the school by the Parish Priest. In 1899, the Brothers opened a House in the adjacent building and in 1934 they purchased two houses at 46 and 47 Duncan Terrace.
